Abstract

Dengue causes a considerable health burden across the globe and in India. Dengue management in India involves a combination of medical, public health, and cultural factors. Some communities may rely on traditional herbal remedies for dengue management. While some herbal medications may show promise, there are some limitations to traditional healing practices and herbal remedies that should be acknowledged and appropriately taken care of. The government often implements integrated vector management strategies, combining chemical control, environmental management, and community participation for effective control. Tailoring educational materials to the local context and language is crucial for conveying information about dengue prevention and management. Collaboration between different sectors, including health authorities, community and religious leaders, and other stakeholders, is essential to effectively addressing the cultural dimensions of dengue prevention and control.
