Chorea: A Rare Presentation of Vivax Malaria
Abstract
Malaria is now being reported with unusual manifestations because of increasing resistance, indiscriminate use of antimalarial drugs and development of immunity. Chorea is one
of the rare complication of falciparum malaria. In this case, a 28 year old male presented with fever, splenomegaly and with choreiform movement. Peripheral smear was positive for vivax malaria.
