Abstract

Autoimmune demyelinating disorders of peripheral and central nervous system are common but coexistent central and peripheral nervous system demyelination is rarely reported in children. Despite
supposedly similar pathophysiology, single treatment does not work for both conditions. Here we report a child who developed Guillain-Barre syndrome and transverse myelitis following mumps and was managed successfully.
